Preparing for Christmas

Now, I'm no Scrooge, but I am definitely one of those people that will not play Christmas music or decorate the house until December 1st. This is why I am SO excited that I am allowed to start preparing and getting excited for Christmas tomorrow!

Being a student, Christmas can be a worry, seeing as you're struggling to afford a pint on a Friday it's hard to find the money to buy presents for your loved ones - this year has been especially hard for me in this case.

As my rent and bills are more expensive than previous years I have found that I have less cash to spare. With this, I have decided to make and create most of my gifts. Now, I'm such a soppy bastard, I absolutely love homemade gifts being given to me. It makes me think that the person who gave it to me has spent so much time and effort on this for me and it's so much more special in my eyes. (I hope my family feel the same way with their presents this year!)

Just in case any of my friends or family read this (I doubt they will, but. . .) I won't be sharing too much information about what I gifts I have given. I was wanting to make videos to show what I've made to give some ideas but as I live with two YouTubers I don't want them to see what I've got them for Christmas yet!

Advice for money savers: As I said, I will be making a few of my gifts, not all of them, most are just collages or decorated ornaments, that kind of thing. I'd say you should give something like this a go because I'm sure whoever you give the gift to will appreciate your effort. Also, if it's something that they can hang up or use to decorate a room with it adds that extra personal touch.

Although I have a lot of work on, I have a lot coming up in the next few weeks that I am so excited to film!
